The U.S. dollar mixed against the other major currencies today, as misgivings over the Greece and the American fiscal cliff continued to affect the market attitude. However, the euro remained buoyant.
During the today European morning trade, the greenback went lower against the euro, with EURUSD reaching 1.2745.
The U.S. dollar had a slight change against the pound, with GBPUSD trading at 1.5876.
Besides, the greenback was moving over the yen, with USDJPY hitting the level 79.90, but was down against the Swiss franc, USDCHF trading at 0.9448.
The American dollar was a little under its Canadian, Australian and New Zealand fellows, with USDCAD trading at 1.0009, AUDUSD going down to 1.0448 and NZDUSD reaching 0.8169.
Later today, America is expected to release government data on retail sales, producer price inflation and business inventories. Besides, the Federal Reserve is about to publish the minutes of its most recent policy-setting meeting.
